Nithya says: "Valparai is known for its tea estates and was one of the earliest places to have had cash crops planted by colonial rulers. I was travelling to Valparai on one of the rainy days of monsoon this year when I captured this scene. Tea plantation workers were standing very close to each other to warm and guard themselves against chilly rain. Our agrarians are our heroes in this unprecedented period. Despite the harsh climate, tea plantation workers work day in and day out to earn meagre wages, with no respite even during the pandemic.
