Vicky says: "Nair didi is all of 90, and is more than a mother to us at the Salaam Baalak Trust. During the lockdown, she called up each one of us to check how we were doing. If she didn’t have someone's phone number, she asked one of us to check on them and make sure their needs were being taken care of. She gathered us all via Zoom and encouraged us to be brave during these uncertain times. Since I stay away from my family, it was comforting to know that I am not all alone and by myself during these tough times. I have a strong and encouraging mother figure watching out for me.
